Tall Allium Flower Bulbs

Tall border alliums, including Allium hollandicum ‘Purple Sensation’, bring rich violet-purple blooms atop slender, upright stems, creating a striking presence in garden beds and mixed plantings. Unlike giant alliums, these varieties typically reach 2 to 3 feet tall, making them ideal for mid-border placement where they provide height without overwhelming surrounding plants.

Blooming in late spring to early summer, tall border alliums bridge the gap between spring bulbs and summer perennials, offering long-lasting color and pollinator appeal. Their compact, globe-shaped flower heads, about 4 to 5 inches wide, add texture and movement, complementing roses, peonies, and delphiniums.
