Helleborus

Helleborus, or hellebore, is a shade-loving perennial prized for its nodding, long-lasting flowers that bloom in late winter to early spring. Thriving in partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil, it is deer-resistant and tolerant of dry conditions once established. Its evergreen foliage provides year-round interest, making it a valuable addition to woodland gardens and shaded borders.

Within our collection, we offer two distinct series: Double Ellen and Pretty Ellen. The Double Ellen Series features fully double, ruffled blooms with layered petals that create a lush, rose‑like appearance. These varieties offer dramatic flower forms and rich color saturation, making them standout focal points in early‑season plantings. The Pretty Ellen Series, by contrast, is known for its elegant single to semi‑double flowers with clean, classic lines and excellent garden performance.
