Galanthus Flower Bulbs

Galanthus, commonly known as snowdrops, are among the earliest blooming bulbs, often pushing through snow to reveal their nodding, bell-shaped white flowers. Each bloom features three outer petals and three shorter inner segments, typically marked with green tips, giving them a refined, understated elegance.

Native to Europe and parts of western Asia, snowdrops thrive in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil, making them ideal for woodland gardens, rockeries, and naturalized drifts beneath deciduous trees. Their strap-like foliage emerges with or just after the flowers and fades by late spring.

Galanthus are deer-resistant, low-maintenance, and naturalize easily, forming charming carpets over time. They’re especially valuable for bridging the gap between winter and spring, offering nectar to early pollinators and a sense of renewal to gardeners.
