Chionodoxa Flower Bulbs

Chionodoxa, commonly known as glory-of-the-snow, is a petite, early-spring bulb that brings a carpet of starry blooms just as winter recedes. Native to the mountains of Turkey and Crete, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, often blooming through the last patches of snow.

Its dainty, six-petaled flowers—typically sky blue with a white center, though pink and white forms exist—appear in clusters atop 4–6 inch stems, making it ideal for rock gardens, lawns, woodland edges, and beneath deciduous trees.

Chionodoxa is deer-resistant, low-maintenance, and naturalizes easily, spreading gently over time to form drifts of color. It pairs beautifully with other early bloomers like snowdrops, crocus, and scilla.
