Calla Flower Bulbs (Fall)

Calla aethiopica, also known as Zantedeschia aethiopica or white calla lily, is a rhizomatous perennial prized for its striking white, trumpet-shaped spathes and bold, arrow-shaped foliage. Native to southern Africa, it thrives in moist, organically rich soil and performs best in full sun to partial shade, depending on climate.

Blooming from late spring through summer, this plant produces tall, elegant flower stalks topped with pure white spathes surrounding a yellow spadix, often with a faint, sweet fragrance. In regions with mild winters (Zones 8–10), it remains evergreen; in cooler zones, it may go dormant or require lifting and overwintering indoors.

Ideal for borders, rain gardens, pond margins, and containers, Calla aethiopica is also deer-resistant and moderately drought-tolerant once established. Its long-lasting blooms are a favorite in cut flower arrangements, adding a touch of refinement to both gardens and floral displays.
