Amaryllis Flower Bulbs (Fall)

Amaryllis belladonna, also known as naked lady or belladonna lily, is a late-summer to early-fall blooming bulb prized for its fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of rosy pink. Native to South Africa, this perennial produces leafless flower stalks that emerge suddenly from the soil—hence the nickname “naked lady.”

Its strappy foliage appears in spring, dies back in early summer, and is followed weeks later by 2–12 blooms per stem, creating a dramatic and unexpected display. Amaryllis belladonna thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, especially in Mediterranean-style climates with dry summers and mild winters.

This bulb is deer-resistant, drought-tolerant, and long-lived, making it ideal for rock gardens, borders, and naturalized plantings. Once established, it requires little care and often performs best when left undisturbed.
