Lycoris radiata, commonly known as Red Spider Lily, is a bulbous perennial that reaches 12 to 28 inches in height. It produces bright red, spidery flowers with long, curved stamens, blooming in late summer to early fall, often after heavy rainfall.
This species thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soil. It is deer-resistant and naturalizes well, making it a striking addition to borders, woodland edges, and mass plantings.
