Welcome to A.D.R. Bulbs

As we near our 80th year doing business in the United States, we’d like to start by thanking all of our customers for placing their continued trust in our family, our flower bulbs, and our company. Many of our customer relationships span generations, and many of our new customers come from referrals. That is a source of great pride for all of us at A.D.R. Bulbs, and we don’t take a single order for granted.
Interest in the flower bulb industry continues to grow at a rapid pace, and we are thrilled to welcome the next generation of our family into the company at such a pivotal time.
Phil Ruigrok is now a partner in the business, and together with his brother Carlo, have brought a youthful energy to our sales force. Their sister Romy Ruigrok has also joined the company this year, bringing a fresh approach to our marketing and product development team. Additionally, Romy oversees The Tulip Barn u-pick and test gardens in the Netherlands each spring!
We pledge to never lose site of the core values passed down from our founder (Simon Ruigrok Sr.) many years ago. We focus on providing the largest assortment of top size, top quality, true to name bulbs in the industry, competitive pricing, a gigantic fall inventory and friendly, reliable customer service that is unmatched.
This year’s catalog (now 107 pages) was especially fun to create. This past spring, we all toured the famed Keukenhof gardens together, taking hundreds of photos and notes of all the exciting new introductions being brought to market. That legwork is reflected throughout these pages, with 88 new introductions, continued expansion of our popular custom mixes, fresh retail displays, new introductions from our own farm, and plenty of classic best sellers.
For customers that prefer to order online, we continue to upgrade and invest in www.adrbulbs.com each year to improve all aspects of the site and user experience. Keep an eye out for the many web-only introductions that don’t make the print deadline!
As many of you know, when you call our office the first thing you often hear is my father Walter (and it’s been that way since 1978). Although the company has grown faster than we ever could have imagined, we will always be a family business, and we like to operate with the personal touch that comes along with that. For us, A.D.R. Bulbs is not just our life’s work; it’s our passion.
