Every other year, our farm in Holland completely overhauls our Fall and Spring Flower Bulb Programs. New varieties that have proved to be popular from the previous cycle remain, and a selection of 50+ new varieties are introduced!

Constant, measured change is important, not only to add new & exciting varieties to offer our customers, but also to keep an eye on popular old time varieties that are being replaced with newer versions featuring stronger genetics.

Senior citizen and public housing complexes in Jersey City are getting a makeover today as more than 700 volunteers participate in the Jersey City Park Coalition’s Big Dig 2013, an annual effort to beautify the city.

Here in southern New York State (and many other areas of the country), the deer population is staggering (estimated at over 30 million nationwide). In fact, the New York Times once wrote that there are more deer living in the US today than there were when the Pilgrims landed...in 1620. Why are there so many yellow daffodils? Why do they all look so strikingly similar? On the surface, it does appear that there are some excess varieties out there. However, there are key differences. Certain varieties like Exception are perfectly suited for forcing in pots. Others, like Carlton, (light yellow) & St. Keverne (golden yellow), grow especially well in the deep south. Then there are industry standards like Dutch Master, which is the #1 choice for mass plantings & landscape professionals.
