I’ve been purchasing bulbs from A.D.R. for many years. The quality is superior and the service fantastic. Chris and his family have always been prompt and accommodating. If you need it, Chris can find it! I wouldn’t shop anywhere else!

Scilla peruviana, also known as Portuguese Squill, is a bulbous perennial native to the western Mediterranean, including Iberia, Italy, and northwest Africa. It produces large, conical clusters of star-shaped violet-blue flowers, each bloom measuring 1–2 cm across, with up to 100 flowers per spike.
This species thrives in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It grows 4–10 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide, making it an excellent choice for naturalizing in gardens. Blooming in late spring to early summer, it bridges the gap between late tulips and early perennials.
Despite its name, Scilla peruviana is not from Peru—the name originated from a historical misinterpretation. It is commonly grown as an ornamental plant, with cultivars ranging from white to deep violet.
