I have worked with A.D.R. Bulbs for almost 5 years now, and my company has sourced bulbs with them for longer than that. Communication is great - from ordering, to deliveries, to follow-ups on final product. I love the quality of the product as well as the service. We plant nearly 100,000 bulbs and A.D.R. keeps the whole process easy for us!

Iris pseudacorus, commonly known as yellow flag iris, is a vigorous, moisture-loving perennial with bright yellow flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. The sword-like, deep green foliage forms dense clumps, making it a striking addition to wetland gardens, pond edges, and stream banks. Thriving in full sun to part shade, this iris tolerates standing water and adapts to a range of soil conditions. While valued for its ornamental appeal, it spreads aggressively through rhizomes and seeds.

Planting: Plant rhizomes in spring or fall, 2 to 3 inches deep and 18 to 24 inches apart. Choose a site where spreading won’t be an issue—this species can naturalize aggressively.
Location: Full sun to partial shade. Thrives in wet soils, making it ideal for pond edges, rain gardens, or boggy areas.
Soil: Moist to wet, loamy or clay soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Tolerates shallow standing water.
Watering: Requires consistently moist soil. Can grow in up to 4 inches of standing water but also tolerates average garden moisture if not allowed to dry out.
Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 5–9. Tolerates cold winters and high humidity.
Fertilization: Minimal feeding needed. Apply compost or a balanced fertilizer in spring if desired.
Pruning: Remove spent flower stalks and yellowing foliage. Cut back to the ground in late fall or early spring.
Propagation: Spreads by rhizomes and self-seeding. Divide clumps every 3–4 years to control spread and rejuvenate growth.
Pest & Disease: Generally pest-free. All parts are toxic if ingested—wear gloves when handling.
