I am a landscape designer and have been purchasing 1000's of spring flowering bulbs from A.D.R. Bulbs for 100's of clients in the last 20 years. The bulbs have always been of top quality and if there were any problems, they have been quick to rectify. My orders are often complicated with many varieties and different amounts and they have always filled and delivered everything on time with the best customer care and attention to detail. The pictures in their catalog and website are beautiful. I have visited their facility in NY and was impressed with all their handling equipment and organization. I would highly recommend A.D.R. Bulbs to anyone in the wholesale trade who wants to purchase quality bulbs and work with genuinely nice people.

Helleborus ‘Pretty Ellen Mix’ brings together a refined selection of single‑flowered hellebores in shades of white, pink, red, purple, and softly spotted forms. Each bloom has a clean, open structure that shows off its central stamens, giving the mix a natural, woodland character in late winter and early spring. The flowers rise above deep evergreen foliage, adding gentle color and clarity to shaded borders, pathways, and underplantings when the garden is just beginning to wake. With its tidy, clump‑forming habit and reliable early bloom, it’s an excellent choice for creating broad sweeps of subtle, season‑opening color in part to full shade with moist, well‑drained soil.
Planting: Plant in early spring or fall. Set bare roots with the crown just at soil level and space 12 to 18 inches apart. Soak roots for 3–6 hours before planting if dry.
Location: Partial to full shade is ideal—under deciduous trees or in woodland borders. Protect from harsh winter winds and intense summer sun.
Soil: Moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Enrich with compost or leaf mold.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist during establishment. Once established, hellebores are drought-tolerant but appreciate occasional deep watering in dry spells.
Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 4–9. Evergreen in mild climates; foliage may die back in colder zones but regrows in spring.
Fertilization: Apply compost or a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and again after flowering.
Pruning: Remove old or damaged leaves in late winter before new growth emerges. Deadhead spent blooms to tidy the plant.
Propagation: Divide clumps in early spring or fall. Avoid disturbing mature plants unless necessary.
Pest & Disease: Generally pest-free. Watch for aphids and black spot in humid conditions.
