Dahlia 'American Sun' is a decorative variety with cheerful lemon-yellow blooms that glow against dark green foliage. Its fully double, 4- to 5-inch flowers are held on strong stems, making them excellent for cutting and garden display. Growing 36 to 44 inches tall, it thrives in full sun with well-drained soil, blooming from midsummer until frost. Hardy in USDA zones 8 to 11.
