Canna bulbs are tropical flowering plants known for providing large, colorful blooms that thrive in the summer heat.
They feature strong stems and large, glossy leaves.
Plant in the spring when soil temperatures reach 60 F; cannas are sensitive to cold temperatures.
Plant horizontally with the eyes facing up, and cover with 4" of soil.
Cannas can bloom well into the fall, providing color long after other annuals and perennials fade way.
