Calla Lily 'Rehmannii' is a compact variety known for its soft pink blooms with a creamy blush along the edges. The flowers rise above semi-erect, lance-shaped green leaves, which differ from the arrow-shaped foliage of other calla species. Blooming from midsummer to early fall, this variety grows up to 16–20 inches tall and thrives in full sun with moist, well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA zones 8 to 10, it can be grown as an annual in colder climates, with rhizomes lifted and stored for winter. It performs well in borders, containers, and near water features, adding a graceful presence to garden designs.

Planting: In spring, plant rhizomes after the last frost when soil has warmed to at least 60°F. Set them just below the surface—about 3 to 4 inches deep—with the growing points facing upward.
Location: Choose a spot in full sun or partial shade. In hotter climates, afternoon shade helps prevent stress.
Soil: Use fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.
Watering: Keep soil consistently moist during active growth, especially in dry spells. Avoid waterlogging.
Temperature: Ideal range is 60–75°F. In zones below 8, grow as annuals or lift rhizomes in fall.
Fertilization: Feed every 2–3 weeks with a high-potash fertilizer—liquid seaweed is a great organic option.
Pruning: Remove spent blooms and yellowing foliage to tidy the plant and encourage new growth.
Pest & Disease: Watch for aphids, thrips, and fungal issues. Ensure good air circulation and avoid soggy soil.
Propagation: Divide rhizomes in spring before planting.
