Astilbe 'Visions' is a compact, clump-forming perennial with dense, pyramidal plumes of raspberry-pink flowers that bloom in midsummer. The blossoms rise above deep green, fern-like foliage, which remains attractive throughout the season. Thriving in part to full shade, it prefers moist, well-drained soil and is more drought-tolerant than many other astilbe varieties.
