I’ve been purchasing bulbs from A.D.R. for many years. The quality is superior and the service fantastic. Chris and his family have always been prompt and accommodating. If you need it, Chris can find it! I wouldn’t shop anywhere else!

Anemone ‘Lord Lieutenant’ is a standout St. Brigid‑type selection known for its fully double, richly ruffled blooms in deep, velvety violet‑blue. The layered petals create a lush, almost chrysanthemum‑like form, giving each flower exceptional fullness and texture. Grown from size 8+ corms, plants typically reach 10–14 inches tall and produce generous 2–3 inch blooms that bring bold color and volume to borders, containers, and premium cut‑flower work.
In zones 7–10, Lord Lieutenant can be planted in fall for late‑winter to early‑spring flowering. In cooler climates, it performs best when started indoors or planted in spring for summer blooms. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well‑drained, humus‑rich soil. Pre‑soaking the corms before planting encourages strong root development and ensures a lush, abundant display.
