Anemone ‘Hollandia’ is a bold, high‑impact De Caen variety known for its brilliant scarlet‑red blooms, each accented by a crisp white ring surrounding a dark central eye. The contrast is sharp and dramatic, giving the flowers a classic, almost poppy‑like look that stands out instantly in garden plantings and cut‑flower work. Grown from size 8+ corms, plants typically reach 10–12 inches tall and produce striking 2–3 inch blooms that deliver vivid color early in the season.
In zones 7–10, ‘Hollandia’ can be planted in fall for late‑winter to early‑spring flowering. In cooler climates, it performs best when started indoors or planted in spring for summer blooms. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well‑drained, humus‑rich soil. Pre‑soaking the corms before planting encourages strong root development and ensures a bright, reliable display.
