Amaryllis

Amaryllis 'Exotic Star' reaches 18 to 24 inches tall, featuring six- to eight-inch orchid-like blooms in chartreuse green with deep raspberry striations and a dark raspberry throat. Each jumbo-sized bulb (36+) produces two to three thick stalks, with four flowers per stem, blooming 8 to 12 weeks after planting.

Note: Unlike Southern Hemisphere-grown amaryllis, Dutch bulbs do not bloom in time for Christmas—flowering instead from January through March.
