Camassia Flower Bulbs

Camassia, also known as camas, quamash, or wild hyacinth, is a spring- to early-summer blooming bulb native to North America. It produces tall, star-shaped flower spikes in shades of blue, violet, white, or pale lilac, rising above strap-like foliage and creating a striking vertical accent in garden beds and naturalized meadows.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained to occasionally wet soils, Camassia is one of the few bulbs that tolerates heavier, clay-rich conditions. It’s deer-resistant, long-lived, and ideal for rain gardens, woodland edges, and wildflower plantings. Once established, it returns reliably each year and often naturalizes into sweeping drifts.
