Oxalis Flower Bulbs

Oxalis, often called wood sorrel or false shamrock, is a diverse genus of bulbs and rhizomatous perennials known for their clover-like leaves and delicate, five-petaled flowers in shades of pink, purple, yellow, or white. Many species open and close their leaves and blooms in response to light, adding a dynamic quality to garden beds and containers.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, oxalis is ideal for borders, rock gardens, and indoor displays. Some species, like Oxalis triangularis and O. deppei, are grown for their striking foliage, while others, such as O. versicolor, are prized for their candy-cane-striped blooms.

Oxalis is typically deer-resistant, drought-tolerant, and easy to grow, though some species can spread aggressively in mild climates. In colder zones, they’re often treated as seasonal accents or houseplants, with bulbs lifted and stored over winter.
