Eranthis bulbs feature buttercup like flowers.  Eranthis bulbs are good for the front of borders and beds and naturalizing in wooded areas.  Eranthis bulbs are very short (4 inches).  Eranthis bulbs will perennialize if the foliage is allowed to die down.  Species Crocus bulbs will flower very early in the season.
